The Binghamton Bulldogs are thrilled to welcome back team captain and 2017 starting point guard Chris Cartwright to the team for a second season!

The 5'8 Cartwright is the heart and soul of the Bulldogs. He averaged 13.4 points, 6.5 assists and 4.4 boards for the team last season. Chris started the season with a bang, dropping 24 points on 7-15 shooting and dishing out 7 dimes in the season opener against Roc City. He followed that up by single-handedly leading the team to a road victory at Elmira in game number 2.  Cartwright finished that game with a career high 35 points on 10-19 shooting and also dropping 12 assists.

An explosive offensive force, Chris also excelled on the defensive end of the floor. Often times matching up against the other teams top playmaking guard, he ended the season averaging 2.3 steals and led the team in charges. His toughness and tenacity often times sparked big Bulldogs runs and his ability to create ignited the squad's 3-point heavy attack.

Prior to his outstanding first year with the Bulldogs, Chris starred at Buffalo State and Tompkins-Cortland CC. at TCCC, he averaged 22 points per game, 6 assists and 5 boards, being named Conference Player of the Year and leading his team to a Mid-State Athletic Conference championship. At Buff St. he ended his career with averages of 16.8 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. He was an SUNYAC conference selection both his junior and senior seasons at Buff St., helping the Bengals close out his senior season with a 14-3 record and playoff appearance.

Chris also spearheads the Bulldogs large youth basketball program, leading both our private and group clinics, as well as our summer camps and AAU program. He has a terrific knack with explaining the game to youth ballers of all age groups and getting the most effort out of their talent and ability.

Welcome back for a second year, CC!
